               From the Americas to Europe, award winning pianist Ana Lourdes Rodriguez has thrilled audiences while championing the music of Spanish and Latin American composers, as well as masterpieces of composers ranging from Albeniz to Weber. 

               Ms. Rodriguez has appeared as an orchestral soloist and recitalist in Europe, Mexico, Honduras, Canada and the United States, including cities such as Boston, Miami, New York, Prague, Paris, Rome and Madrid.  Her repertoire spans from the Baroque period such as music by Padre Antonio Soler and Carlos Seixas to Latin music masterpieces by Ernesto Lecuona,and Ginastera to music by composers such Marlos Nobre (Brazil) and Harold Gramatges (Cuba).  Ms. Rodriguez has been invited to perform world premieres both as a recitalist and orchestral soloist. 

               Highlights of her appearance as a soloist with orchestra include her performance of the Ginastera’s “Concierto Argentino” with the Symphony of the Americas in South Florida, and also her world premiere performance of Kutnowski’s Tango Rhapsody in Mexico with the Queretaro Phiharmonic.  With the renowned Mexican orchestra, she has also been featured as soloist in Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto and Bartok’s Piano Concerto No. 3.  

               Invitations to Europe have included a tour of Spain as part of the Homage to Padre Antonio Soler, where she gave the world premiere of Fandango by Carlos Cruz de Castro and Jose Maria Laborda in Madrid. She also performed in the Festival of La Luna Llena in Segovia.  She also appeared at the University of Salamanca Center for Brazilian Studies in a special program of music by important Brazilian composers.  In addition to her performances in Europe and the Americans, she has performed at Canada’s Music on the Hills Concert Series.

               A native of Miami, Miss Rodriguez studied with the renowned University of Miami professor Rosalina Sackstein, a protege of Claudio Arrau.  Miss Rodriguez’s New York gave herdebut in Carnegie’s Recital Hall after her prize with Artist International. The following year Miss Rodriguez was once again honored by Artist International by receiving the Alumni Award and by giving a concert in Merkin Concert Hall.  Miss Rodriguez studied at the Mannes College of Music where she received her Masters in piano performance. 

               Ana Lourdes Rodriguez currently serves on the faculty at Miami Dade College, where she is a frequent performer and dedicated educator.  A number of organizations have also invited Ms. Rodriguez as a guest artist, including the Dominican Association of Classical Artists and the Cuban Cultural Center of New York.
